My Story
Growing up I always liked working with my hands. As I went through high school, I worked in the trades doing HVAC. After high school I knew that I wanted to continue to work in the trades but wasn't sure what field I wanted to pursue. At the time, my cousin just became a journeyman lineman, and he invited me to come job shadow him down in Iowa. After that day I fell in love with the trade and knew that was the one I wanted to pursue as my career. As my high school days came to an end, I applied for a tech school and got accepted. My high school had a lot of opportunities to apply for scholarships so I applied for as many as I could. I was very fortunate and obtained multiple scholarships that helped in paying for over half of my tuition for school.
After I finished school, I got hired on with a utility and am currently in the apprenticeship program to become a journeyman lineman. Working in the trades and going through all of my schooling I really began to like drinking coffee and I started doing a lot more research on coffee and became fascinated with it and began roasting and making my own specialty single origin coffee. I created Lunch Bucket Coffee because I wanted to share my specialty coffee with you and most importantly give young aspiring tradesmen of Illinois the same opportunity that I got with scholarships, so I created my own scholarship foundation in which a percentage of our profits go directly towards our scholarship foundation to help our young aspiring tradesmen chase their dreams and build America!
